On the 19th of January, 2018, Mr. Vahan Martirosyan, Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies of Armenia, received the representatives of freight forwarding companies, led by Mr. Herbert Hambardzumyan, President of the Association of International Road Carriers of Armenia.

The meeting was also attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Finance of Armenia and State Revenue Committee of Armenia. 

The freight carriers introduced the problems and obstacles s that had arisen as a result of changes in the Armenian tax legislation to the Minister. These are mainly related to business trips, fuel, traffic, and other topics. They also suggested possible solutions to these problems.

One of the proposals was to make tax payments on a monthly basis, taking into account that shipping is mainly seasonal.

A meeting-discussion will be held in the State Revenue Committee of Armenia in upcoming days, in order to clarify the issues more thoroughly, discuss possible solutions and get more specific comments.
